On Wednesday Feb. 8th at 11:06 am St. Stephens Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a car into a residence in the 4000 block of Section House Road. Upon arrival, first due units confirmed there was a vehicle into a residence and Catawba Count EMS units were evaluating the driver of the vehicle. The tenants of the residence were home at the time of the accident, but were not injured. Power to the residence had to be shut off due to electrical damage inside the home. The Catawba County USAR team responded to evaluate and secure the structure once the vehicle was removed. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
