On the morning of January 15, 2014 Station 4 units were dispatched to Bob Killian Tire on Springs Road in reference to a reported vehicle into the structure. First arriving units reported a car partially into the structure with moderate damage to the building. The single occupant was free from the vehicle upon arrival and was uninjured. The scene was secured to ensure safety to the public and units began assessing the damage to the building as well as the vehicle. Catawba County Building Inspections were requested before removing the vehicle to assess the damage as well. Utilities were isolated in the area and the vehicle was removed with no further damage. No one inside the business was injured from the incident.
