St. Stephens Fire Department is proud to announce that Michael Watkins has been promoted from Firefighter to Engineer. He started his career with St. Stephens FD as a volunteer in February 2024. Michael completed and graduated from the CVCC Fire Academy and has been employed full time with SSFD since March 2025 as a Firefighter. He is a NC Certified Fire Fighter, NCOEMS Basic EMT, NC Technical Rescuer, NC certified Driver Operator, & Haz-Mat Responder.
