| Thursday night March 31st just after midnight a vehicle traveling on springs road in the 4000 block, lost control and struck a utility pole. The broken utility pole brought down power lines and caused springs road to be shut down for approx. 2 hours. Firefighters worked cautiously around the broken pole to secure the vehicle and extricate the driver. Duke power was notified to repair the downed lines and utility pole and arrived on the scene approx. 1 hour later. Station 4 units remained on the scene for over 2 hours until the vehicle could be removed and the roadway reopened. |
