| Saturday August 20th at 5:48 pm St. Stephens units were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 4700 block of 16th St. Dr NE. St. Stephens had a firefighter on the scene within 3 minutes of the dispatch and advised incoming units that it was a motor vehicle accident and one of the vehicles was on fire. Two vehicles had collided head on and there was heavy damage to both. All occupants were out of the vehicles and were treated on the scene and transported to an area hospital. The vehicle fire was brought under control quickly by St. Stephens firefighters. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. |
