The tour was in the Hickory and Catawba County area throughout the entire day. While touring through Catawba County, the tour visited homebound cancer patients in Newton, Claremont, Morganton, and Lenoir. The tour visits the homebound cancer patients with the pink trucks and apparatus for support and encouragement to those fighting the battle with cancer. After the visits were completed, the tour returned to Blue Ridge Harley-Davidson for community cancer awareness. During the event the main activity included teams participating in pulling a pink fire truck to compete for the quickest time. Hundreds of onlookers were on site cheering for their favorite team. The teams included emergency agencies from Catawba County, school sports groups, and other special participants representing businesses from Catawba County. The pink fire trucks and police car were also on site for people to sign in support of a loved one that is currently fighting the battle with cancer or in memory of a loved one who fought and lost the battle with cancer. The purpose of this event was to raise money and awareness in the local chapter in the community for Pink Heals.
